I would look on ebay. You can get cheap used cpu's.
CPU Upgrade?
Hi, I currently have an older computer with everything new except a motherboard and cpu.
Currently, I have a pentium 3 1.0 GHz cpu, overclocked at a maximum of 1.16 GHz. I found a 1.4 GHz cpu that is compatible and I was wondering if I should buy it for the price of 60 $. Will there be a great speed improvement? Or should I just get rid of it (I dont really want to buy a new computer :wink:.
