I want to upgrade from my old intel mobo that supports my socket 478 2.0ghz P4 processor and I'm wondering if I could get a newer socket 478 motherboard that could still use the old 2ghz which is not hyper threading and i think has an FSB in the 400's when the new mobo would be 533/800mhz. possible? :4-dontkno

Replacing your current board with a newer one won't be a problem at all. Just do a little research and find a board that has the specs you think you need.
Example: you'll need to decide what "chipset", how much Ram you wish to use, do you want a board that "dual channels", do you want "onboard graphics", etc. There are lots of boards out there, with lots of different features and and price range that's sure to match your budget.
The supported "front side bus" won't be an issue provided you get one that supports "no less" than yours.
