Hello I have been having some serious problems with my computer lately. I bought an MSI P43 Neo3-F previously and plugged in my Celeron D 3.2ghz processor and a mere Radeon 9250 PCI video card. However, I got no boot screen or any display whatsoever (the monitor didn't even turn on). I sent it back and got a replacement because I thought maybe it was faulty. Then the replacement had the exact same problem. I talked to tech support at MSI and they said this motherboard wasn't compatible with the Celeron D processor I am using. So I got a refund and then bought a Jetway 775GT1-LOGE motherboard. But sure enough... SAME EXACT PROBLEM. I still have no video display out of this board that I am positive is compatible with my components. I have no idea what the cause could be, UNLESS it is my processor. If my processor were faulty, could this cause my board to have no video? The processor isn't new. It's at least 2-3 years old and I haven't taken perfect care of it. I have checked on google and on this forum many many times to try to find a solution. I've tried a lot of troubleshooting but nothing seems to work. I will take any advice though.

Thank you

i think the m/b does not support a fsb of the celeron 533
from the newegg specs
Supported CPU
CPU Socket Type LGA 775
CPU Type Core 2 Duo / Pentium D / Celeron D

So the FSB can effect the video output?

Does this mean I need to get a different motherboard?
If so got any recommendations for a compatible CHEAP bang for the buck motherboard?

i looked at the specs on the newegg site
is the board posting but just no video
have you plugged the aux power plug into the m/b

try a cmos reset
cmos reset
turn the computer off
remove the power lead from the back
take the side off
remove the cmos battery
move the cmos jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 and 3 and the back to pins 1 and 2
reinsert the battery
put the side on
replug in the power lead
boot the computer

there can be 2 solder points you touch with a screwdriver
2 pins you touch with a screwdriver or use a jumper
a cmos clear switch or button
there will be a diagram and instructions in your manual
