Corrupt Word Document DOC File?

I think this Word document is corrupted:

How do I fix it?

It is supposed to look like this:

Copy the text over from the cache file into a .doc as text only, then format it the way you want and save it over the corrupt file.

That's just time consuming. I would lose the formatting and everything.

I found a better solution in this forum, though:

That solution will only work with the WordPad in XP. It will not work on Vista's WordPad.
