I just bought a new sata drive and have an old IDE drive currently installed on my PC. I wanted to copy the current OS on the old drive to the new drive. I found the guide compiled by you, but am not able to access it. The forum gives me some message that i cannot access it. So can you please send me the guide or instruct me how to do it.

I have 3 partitions on my old drive..do I need to copy(clone) the whole drive or only the C: (main OS partition)partition would do?

XXClone copies one partition to another, so yes, you can clone just your C:\ drive. In fact, you couldn't clone the whole disc, even if you wanted to.
