I recently purchased an IDE to Sata Converter so that I can add my second hard drive. The instructions that came were very basic and of no help. I was able to connect the converter to the IDE device, connect the power cable to the IDE device and converter, and was able to connect the Serial ATA cable to the Motherboard. I still have a four prong power supply connector that is not plugged into anything and the directions do not show that it needs to be. I am trying to use this hard drive as a slave and not the master. When I sign back onto my computer I am still not seeing my second hard drive. What am I doing wrong? I am not that computer savy:4-dontkno

Try setting the drive as master because it is theoretically connected to the sata controller there is no need for a master salve relationship and the device may need the ide drive set to master to work correctly , could you give us a link to the converter?

Is the ide drive formatted?
