Ok i need to convert a .exe to a .msi.

Is this possible. If not a direct approach perhaps unpacking the exe and re-packing as a .msi.

I couldnt find a section which would fit this well so move this thread if you have to.

All and any help appreciated :D

the msi is a installer file.
It is used to help put the files into the correct places and to make the correct registry entries.

What is the .exe file that you are trying to get to work?

With that knowledge we may be able to find the whole package.

It's an exe installer so that would mean the exe is creating registery entries etc like you said before and for various reasons i wont get into i cant use an exe. Instead is there a way to make the msi make the same folders and registery aditions etc as this specific exe installer would.

Also is it even possible to unpack an exe and re write an msi to do the same thing as the exe. (straight conversion would be better if possible)
