in a previous thread i was suggested to go here for instructions on how to get rd of norton properly. the only problem is my version is not on that list (im using norton antivirus corporate edition 7.6). so what do i do to safely/ properly remove norton from my system so i can install AVG nicely?

do you reccomend i just "add/remove" norton (like it says in the article hwo tis the easiest way)

try the add/remove program

symantec recommends to use add and remove programs first. I would suggest the same. Try that one first. Then there is a link provided below for the symantec removal tool. Run this tool too. I used the removal tool before using add and remove programs and never had a problem. This tool i have been talking about only works for 2003 and up. If you have an older version there is a tool called Rnaw available on symantecs website.
