Connects but can't surf

I live with a family that uses AOL (oh god, I know. You don't even have to tell me) as their ISP. Recently they switched to CenturyTell. I removed AOL from my computer using add/remove programs then I made sure there wasnt any trace of it in Run-->Regedit-->LocalMachine-->Software-->Microsoft-->Windows-->Current Version-->Run. Then I set up Internet Explorer to dial to the CenturyTell number. It worked fine. Here comes my problem. When I came to do this on their computer (old old gateway, P2, etc...) it worked fine. But when I dial up to CT using IE, it connects me ok, but no pages load. DNS error. When I look at the top of my browser it say, "Internet Explorer brought to you by AOL" with an aol icon. This leads me to believe I did not get AOL completly off of the computer. My main problem is I can't access the internet using that computer. Can anyone help me? Thank you for reading this. Any help appreciated. Thanks

The AOL info in the IE title bar means nothing.

Should probably contact their ISP to verify the networking settings for the dial-up connection. Sometimes, they specify an IP for the DNS entry.
