Hey guys, i have a problem that is very annoyin while i try to use the internet. My connection to the router seems to drop every 15mins or so. It is not the router that is the problem because i have 3 other computers using it wirelessly and there seems to be no problem. Also, it is not the network adapter that are the problem because i have tried 2 different ones and still the same problem. I think the problem is a setting on my computer maybe not too sure.

-Using a linksys router WRT54G
-Microsoft Windows XP . Media Center Edition V2002, service pack 2
-the two network adapters i tried were a dlink and a belkin

if you require any other info please let me know.

You said 3 other computers are using the router wirelessly. Is the computer in question using the router wirelessly? Maybe you already stated that, maybe i missed it.

A wireless router can fail to pass internet through it's wired ports and still function as a wireless machine. And vice-versa.

ya all the computers are wireless , there are none directly connected .

If 3 computers are connected to this router wirelessly and only 1 of them is dropping connection, i would point my finger at the computer dropping connection.

You don't don't keep replacing tires on a car that continues going flat. You question the operator or the road he drives on.
