Connection problems

Hi

My internet is currently having connection problems. (Been like this for a good month or so now). Basically when I play an online game I will get a freeze every minute. This freeze only lasts a second but it's still interrupting my playing.

I'm going to phone up my ISP on the weekend but is there any idea as to what is causing it?

I use wireless however still get the freeze when I hook it up directly to the modem with an ethernet cable. Doesn't matter if I use laptop, desktop etc, all same problem.
