Connection Problem with Laptop

795 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  NeilF
We have a laptop that our children use and then have a desktop. We are getting the error message "network cable unplugged" on our laptop but our desktop is working fine. We have a wireless connection but I am unable to fix this problem. The laptop locks up and will obviously not connect to the internet. I have checked all plugs to and from desktop and laptop and things are plugged in as usual. This is very frustrating, any advice?

May be that the NIC port is broken , Sometimes the contacts inside the port brake. If this is the case you can always buy a wifi dongle or a usb > rj45 converter
