Hard-wired or wireless? What is your latency? Who's the ISP?
Connection for xbox live slow!?
On xbox live when playing a game sometimes the connection drops from its normal to a level of unplayability. Then it jumps back up to perfect. What would be causing this? My internet connection on the computer is good. I have a DMZ setup on my router for my xbox.

the xbox is hooked up via ethernet cable from router. The ISP is a local company called glenwood. 1.5 mbps download.
It could be due to the 1.5mbps download. When I have 6mbps download I lag.
When does this occur? At random or at places where there is a lot going on?

well the 1.5 mpbs download is perfect almost all the time. Like this really bad lag occurs for only 3 or 4 seconds then its back to perfect. Its just random when this occurs.
I have about the same speeds and I can vouch for him that it isn't the problem.
Just to check, do you have any PCs or Laptops running whilst gaming as they can do updates even when they don't look active which could be causing the lag spikes.
