hey there,

i have an epox something or another.... not much help i know
(ahh the joys of saving searches... it's a EP-8RDA3+)

right - step 2:
i formatted my pc because it annoyed me - yes i do that quite often.
now when i restart i get something to this effect:

screencard check, ram check, hdd check, blah blah, big block with system stats and then out of the blue i get

primary channel : not found
secondary channel : not found

and then windows starts up.....

do i need to fix this - i would really like to (and if anyone could fnd a reason why i should blame microsoft..)

anyway, enough mucking around from me :)

that's a good question .... i know i did install drivers and such for it, but for the life of me i cannot remember anything about chipset drivers. doubt it should do much harm in trying it again....will let you know asap.

btw, even if the problem is solved with your idea - can you please tell me what the channels the error refers to are? the only channels i know are the ones of tv and the primary and secondary = hdd for me :p

and no ideas for blaming microsoft :sayno: oh well, intel inside, idiot outside holds true this time, i guess

thank you so much for answering so quickely - i really really appreciate it

i checked to see if i installed everything - the only drivers that weren't installed - raid drivers......

i installed them and voila it worked!! so then i presume that the channels have something to do with the raid capabilities...

thank you for pointing me in the right direction!!
