I am having issues setting up my rural broadband system. Due to our rural location I must use a cellular wireless provider for internet access. I would like to use the Huawei B890 as a MODEM only, not a modem/router unit. I would like to connect a Apple Time Capsule wireless router to B890 via Ethernet and use the apple TC wireless router as the main router (Apple assign the IP addresses and communication between devices, Huawei only used(as a modem) for internet access for the apple TC. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think i found the answer to my own problem. I believe that i should use cascading also called bridging. Many would advise me to set it up the second as a WAP, but in this case i want it to be a completely different network. I found this article that explains setup.
Linksys Official Support - Cascading or Connecting a Linksys router to another router
If anyone has any better ideas or suggestions I'm all ears!
That tutorial covers it perfectly. Since you want an isolated network segment, perform the LAN to WAN setup in that tutorial.

Thanks for your reply!!! Looking over the lan-wan tutorial I do not see anywhere mentioning to change any setting on the primary router(Hauwei B890). One of my friends mentioned that I may need to port forward or create virtual server on the primary router for the second router(apple airbase), otherwise the primary router will block the connection. Are there any setting that may block the connection???

No need for port forwarding or virtual server. You do not need to change any settings on the main router (Huawei). Just follow the lan-wan setup and if it doesn't work as expected, report back here and we'll follow up step by step.

Hint: if you've made several changes in settings and things have gotten murkier, reset the devices to factory defaults and start over. It's also best to separately configure each device first, before connecting them together.
