Computer wont turn off or on
my alienware m17 r1 just started to do something interesting...
when battery is attached after being unattached, or when battery is unattached and adapter is plugged in without the battery, without pressing the power button the computer attempts to turn itself on, but alas, black screen, couple little blinks of the hd light as well as a spin of the cd/dvd then nothing...every now and then it turns off and back on.
i have removed the ram, reset the bios...unplugged and plugged the MB battery. nothing.
there doesnt appear to be any moisture inside either...so i am at a loss and was wondering before bringing it somewhere to learn that it will cost an arm and a leg to fix, id post here. thanks for your time.
