hello

AMD Athlon 64 duo core

3gigs DDR 2

windows 7 64

Western Digital 300gb hd

Alright so I got a prebuilt pc and it worked fine however, I had to change windows 7 in cmd prompt so it wouldn't look for digitally signed drivers I did this successfully and the computer now won't load past bios, I can't even get into the boot menu. So here is what I did to try to fix this.

I tested the hard drive in another computer, it worked fine also i changed the os back so it looks for digitally signed drivers. I tested the ram and it works. I tested the motherboard it beeps all the fans work and nothing is blown. The PSU seems to be ok. I put my finger on the cpu and it is heating up so apparently that is ok. I also changed out the sata cable tried all 4 ports at least twice and nothing worked. I have reset the CMOS like 50 times.

So after I found out the hard drive worked still I swapped it out anyway with a similar one. and the pc still wouldnt load past bios. I also put both hard drives into a similar PC and they both loaded up absolutely A-OK so I have NO idea what is wrong and I'd rather not spend 60 bucks at fry's to find out what's up. If someone could give me some clues I would be very happy

on a side note the computer was running windows vista 32bit and ran fine until it was upgraded to windows 7 64bit today. after the upgrade it worked fine and I restarted the pc for updates at least 4 times.

Any input would help thanks. :banghead:

Brand & Complete Model Number of the PC?
What exactly did you change in Windows 7 using a Command Prompt?
From your explanation I would suggest reinstalling 7.
