Hey all,

My Dell Inspiron recently totally fritzed, I cannot start it, I would like to salvage word docs from school/work/life, is there a method by which I can go about getting this accomplished?

Much thanks!

Hey Speedo,

The mainframe is busted, water seeped in, but the hard drive is not ruined. As I am unable to turn on my computer the question is 'How?'

Thanks!

I have no idea if the connections are the same for a laptop and desktop (so I'm obviously guessing) but if they are you could connect the second drive as a Slave to another hard drive.. (might need to change it from a Primary to a Logical partition)...or connect it as the Master and copy files...(it will download new drivers for the new system).

hmm

they sell an adapter at most computer stores for 10 bucks, and then you can use your hard disk from your notebook in your home pc, and salvage anything important....

make sure and take the disk with you so they can see the connectors....
