I turn my computer on and it takes roughly 12 seconds to go from bootup to the Windows XP 64x startup screen. My wallpaper then loads and it hangs there for 3 minutes before finally loading my Explorer.

I've already scanned my computer with 4 different antiviruses (McAfee, Norton, Defender, Trend Micro) and re-optimized it with BootVis. No changes.

Here's my system:
Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939 K8 Triton nForce 3 250GB AGP ATX
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice ~2 GHz
1024 MB RAM
256 MB ATI 9550 Pro

Can anyone offer me a solution of any sorts or direct me to assist them in obtaining a solution for my problem?

*Another bump*

Can anyone solve this problem?

I think it has to do with explorer. I find that shortly after Windows starts, I can use Task Manager to "End Process" explorer then "Run" explorer again. But it isn't nearly as fast as my old bootup times.
