HI there. I am running Windows XP on a Quad core with 3 Gigs of RAM. I am a musician and use the computer for recirding and mixing. My computer was upgraded a mere 6 months ago and has not had performance issues.

However, in the last month I have noticed it slowing down with the hard drive working very hard. Now things are even worse. I cannot load sound samples such as drums as the computer keeps claiming that it is out of memory.

I have run adaware and Spybot for spyware. I have defragged, virus checked all to no avail. One thing I should mention is that my two data drives are very low in memory. My drive with operating software has lots of space. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this issue?
