I have had my computer for 3 years. I had it customer built. Intel motherboard with a Intel Quad core preoccessor. Seagate hard rive. When I initially brought it home I couldn't instal Windows XP, it was freezing. Brought it back and it was the power unit. He replaced it for free and then it worked perfectly. Over the course of the next three years however once in a while the mouse would get lagging, and then it would restart on its own. Now it does it just about every time. Sometimes it doesn't even make it past the boot load screen, or the windows XP screen. But when it does it only lasts a few minutes before the mouse gets lagging and shuts down. Another issue was the sound. I would get a blue screen of death, I researched Tye error code and it was something wrong with Tue real tech software. I uninstall ed it and I have never gotten the blue screen since. Can anyone help?

By "shutdown" do you mean the PC powers off? If so, there is a hardware problem. Most common issues are the power supply or motherboard. Could also be as simple as a faulty cpu fan, which would cause the cpu to overheat and trip the overtemp shutdown of the motherboard.

Yes by shutdown I mean it just powers off and then imidiatly turns back on.

I can't seem to find the info you need. Its a Intel Classic motherboard. And a Intel quad core processor, and a 480 watt power supply. Just an on board graphics card.
