Thanks! I'm going out now to buy a new PSU, I took mine out as well see if they can test it quick just to make sure, I mean everything is only about 3-5 months old, the mobo and the cpu being the newest but the oldest being around 2 years is the 650 ocz, I noticed after the last power outage my computer seemed louder a tad, and to my best assumptions it was coming from the PSU, I think it was dying and long with the new better part I've bought took it down to it's last legs, I shall let you know of the final outcome, thanks for your help!Hi,
The most probably answer is that your power supply is defective, however it could be a number of different defective hardware that is causing the issue. If you have a spare PSU lying around that accepts that correct pin power chord, then try that and see if the system responds differently.
Chances are, you will probably find that when you get your PSU tomorrow things should be fine.
