Hey guys,
My computer recently started running extremely slowly. I had avira antivirus at the time, ran a scan, turned up a trojan, removed it, and thought I was good. Computer kept running slowly. Uninstalled avira, installed Avast, caught several more viruses. Still slow. Downloaded malwarebytes, found another virus, computer still slow. Downloaded SuperAntiSpyware, caught one last piece of malware with it. Now all scans are coming up clean, but my computer is still crazy slow. I defragged the drive and ran CCleaner, but it's STILL incredibly slow.
I'm honestly not sure what to do at this point. It's a custom-build box from YEARS ago, and I honestly don't know where the original XP install disc I got is, so a factory restore isn't really an option. Any ideas?
