i have had a new computer since July. i have unhooked my old computer when i received the new one, and it has been just sitting there not being used. i have just received a router and want hook up both computers to it. I was trying to hook my old computer in my daughter room. i hooked it up but when i turn it on it get as far as the hardware and monitor info on the monitor screen. After that the computer does a constant reboot. it does not get to the WinXP screen. the computer does an infinite reboot. i have not hooked up the router because my old computer is constantly rebooting. before i received the router the old computer was sitting up not being used could that be the problem help me plz

I'd start with CMOS. You didn't post any hardware specs, so this is my best initial guess. Did you customize any of the setup options? If so, can you access CMOS? If so, check to see if it's been reset to default. Replace CMOS battery if needed and try booting your comp.
