Help ;(

My system:

Motherboard: Nforce A939
CPU: AMD 3200XP
RAM: 2gig DDR
Power Supply: 420 watts ATX 12v
Graphics Card: Nvidia 6600GT
Hard Drive 150gig (IDE)
OS : XP

Problem:
My computer appears to power up and everything spins but nothing appears on the screen and i get 1 long beep 2 short

I have tried this so far:
Purchased new MOBO (GA-EPS31
Purchased new RAM 2gig DDR2 800 hz Kingston
Purchased new RAM 2 1gig DDR Corsair
Purchased new CPU Intel Dual Core E7400 2.8 ghz
Purchased new Video Card Nvidia 9800GT

I have also tried swapping screens from flat screen to CRT,tried a different hard drive and tried a different case. I have also tried swapping RAM slots of course.

Results: no change in the problem, computer powers up, nothing comes up on the screen and i get the long been 2 short beeps

RANDOM INFO:
I have no extra power cables to my video card, do i require them and what are they / where are they. There is a 6pin slot on it. My other video card didnt need have / need any though i believe.
I have the giant / tiny cable together onthe MBOARD and the CPU power cable connected.

I'll probably have to withdraw from my study if i cant fix this, been 2 weeks trying so far.

I'm some what confused as to what system you actually have together. As it seems you completely bought all new parts. However , one long beep followed by 2 or 3 short beeps in computer language is typically a video problem.

The very first machine you have listed isn't posting , which means it could literally be any component , usually a bench test will reveal which component is causeing the problem. Normally it's a card or drive.

The seceond machine you have listed isn't posting because the video card NEEDS the extra 6 pin pci-e power connector connected. The card also require a quality 600w or higher power supply with 26amps on the 12v rail. 420w isn't enough.

There's actually no antec units we recommend anymore. Stick with corsair , thermaltakes toughpower , coolermaster , silverstone , pc power and cooling , ect..
