hey guys, i recently upgraded my pc's ram from 1 gig up to 2 gigs with 2 1 gig ram sticks. now my computer runs fine it recognizes the ram sticks and tells me that i have 2 gigs of ram, the only problem i run into is when i try to play one of my games, minecraft for example, i don't notice any difference, my pc still runs like it has only 1 gig of ram. any one have any ideas why this might be??? thanks guys.

Post the make/model of the PC. If custom built then post the specs.

What problem are you having? How does the games run?

Your issue may be caused by something other than RAM (graphics,CPU,etc)

RAM will not yield a noticeable difference in games as long as the amount of RAM is adequate. Gaming is more dependent on the GPU.

Computer performance is like a chain, it is only as good as the weakest link. If RAM is not the weakest link then adding more won't help much. For general use you would expect that an upgrade to 2 GB on Vista would significantly improve performance. But that isn't necessarily the case with games.
