Okay, this is kind of a funny story here, but I will cut it short. I have a Linksys Gateway Adapter (WMP54G V2). I have 2 computers: 1 is wireless and the other is hardwired through the router/modem. I want to basically switch this setup (meaning my wireless computer become hardwired and my once hardwired computer become wireless). Everything went fine... I took out my network adapter in my wireless comp. and I hooked up the modem and router to my once wireless computer. I could get on the internet fine with it. (by the way, my router is a WRT54GS v7)
The trouble starts when I try to install the network adapter in my ONCE wired computer. I slide it into a PCI slot, successfully finish the Found New Hardware Wizard and everything... BUT the Wireless Internet Connection icon is not in the taskbar! When I go to my network connections, there is nothing there!
Also, device manager shows that it should be fully working....
Any ideas?
