I have not started my computer for like a year or more.
So then it did not turn on
and when i tried to turn it on the lights on cpu u work but it does not show anything on moniter besides the monitor not showing the regular stuff.
then i was advised by a friend to give my power supply a jump. so i did then it turned on once but after that it was the same thing again.
please help me.

Try your computer with another PSU, see if this helps. Try switching the RAM sticks or trying them in other slots. Reseat everything, including your Graphics card, RAM Sticks, and other peripheral cards. Clean out everything in your PC with a compressed air can.
