Hey guys
So I bought a laptop on black friday ment for my heavy gaming. And it was perfect for it it was running.g everything on the highest settings.
I recently installed star craft 2 on my computer ad statted playing. It was fine then bam.. blue screen.. k so i restarted my computer and it was fine again. A day later bam blue screen.. so I scanned for viruses and disk cleaned I even chkdsk in dos. Nothing come up. but now I run a game for about ten to fifteen minutes and it dies. I get an error message about some .dll and it goes back to my desktop when i try to open anything it gives me an error about some .dll and won't open anything up. Any one know *** that's about? I'm a student living on my own so I'm really hoping its some virus I can clean up and not a hardware problem. As laptops are expensive to fix.

First, please post your laptop specs. What is the brand/model of your laptop?

Also, I recommend posting the error message that you get. Hope everything works out well for you.

Intel core I-5 2.4ghz

Intel he graphics
Now that I recall it statted happening after I installed Microsoft works
Well the error looks different almost all the time its either a blue screen or little pop ups that say error then some long number with.DLL at the end

You can try scanning the computer memory and hard-drive for any errors. Use "Memtest86+" to scan the memory and for the hard-drive, download the diagnostics utility from the HDD manufacturer's website.

okay so i got some free time before my next class so i jumped on team fortress 2 ( a game i play)
and this is what happend
i played for 10-15mins maybe a bit more then blue screen
this is what i got after rebooting

okay i did the first part and im running the bsod thing.
but im brain dead so i cant really follow the instructions too well i found the folder in my documents which is #2 on the list but how do i do number 3?

You can run a memory diagnostic using windows:

Start>type "windows memory diagnostic tool" in the start search field and click on it and run it.

Also download this small program that will translate the blus screen codes making it easier to understand the origin of the problem. It's called "blue screen viewer"

so i ran the diagnostics tool and it said nothing is wrong. i updated my video card drivers and tried playing my game. it let me play for 15mins and blue screen again =\

i downloaded that blue screen view thing and it says
its a file called
ntoskrnl.exe
in my c:\windows\system32 file
c:\windows\system32\nktoskrnl.exe is the full path
under bug check string
it says
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
the other one says
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Download the ISO image for Memtest in my signature and burn the image to CD using IMGBurn also in my signature and Remove all but one stick of RAM and boot off of the newly created CD test each stick individually.

I only have one stick of ram so If it is from the ram i already know what it is lol i have some brand new ram I can replace it with hopefuly that's the problem
