Which PSU did you have before brand and wattage, and which psu do you have now brand and wattage?

What is the make and model of your machine meaning OEM Dell, Acer, HP etc... the model number will be on the back or front.

When the system reboots do you get any error codes and or a Blue Screen Of Death similar to the image below?

If you have a custom built pc we need the motherboard brand & model number
CPU specs, and hard drives installed. Use Speccy to help you find out all your specs. Click on File/publish post here.

The age of the system would help also.

i get a WMI 10 error..... you hear a click
If the Click is coming from the HDD, that is a sign the HDD is about to fail. Backup any files you can't live without onto a USB HDD.
What is the WMI error?
Download the ISO image for Seatools in my signature, burn the image to CD using IMGBurn also in my signature. Boot off of the newly created CD and run the Short and Long test on the drive. If either test fails, the HDD needs to be replaced.

Yes clicking thought of a failing hard drive, but I thought perhaps one of those old loud HD's. I deed Spunk sounds like a failing hard drive. How loud is the clicking?

WMI is Windows Management Instrumentation extension a failing hard drive could be related to it because you are downloading writing to the hard drive, if you have a failing hard drive that is.

Both of the psu's were 110 volts the old one was burnt out and the new one is an orion 110 v the computer is a cyber power gaming pc, and no i get no errors or no blue screen jsut click and the screen says no signal and i cant do anything besides turn it off, heres a spiccy snapshot i hope this link works http://speccy.piriform.com/results/3BDSFHjtXY2nM4ZClyxsoNY
and the click isnt that bad sounds like if you were to press the power button about that loud, and ive had the hardware of the pc scanned they said no problems ,could it still be hdd? all things on this shouldent be too old i only got it a year and a half ago.

As Joe asked, open the side of the computer and look at the label for the PSU, what is the output wattage (eg) 400w, 550w etc. Also the Make and Model #
If the clicking is coming from the PSU, that would be a sign of that failing.

ok so i have the box it comes in i thought this would be better because everythings printed on it :p it says: Orion 585 W ATX 12v v.2.31 ams/indel quad core support input characteristicss : 100~240 vac frequency 50~6-Hz output characteristics: 3.3v, +5v, +12v1, +12v2, +5Vsb, 24A 17A, 0.8A, 2.5 A . And i dont know where the clicking is comming from its obviously inside the computer ( also idk if it helps but ive watched task manager while download and its physical memory hits 0 and a few seconds to minutes after it crashes with no signal )

Turbolink switching power supply
ATX - TL 500W-BK 12V

(the place i brougth the compuiter to said it was failing and was cheap garbage and replaced it which i believe because it was being glitchy, but now i got it replaced and now the computers doing this crash/restart gig.)

Would the psu cause th computer to turn off whilst downloading things? like its not even funny i cant even download anything only really fast stuff like that speccy ( oh and ill add the psu info in a sec ill see if i ahve the box which the old oneis in and its the box of the new one they replaced it with if not ill see what i can do about opening it i havnt opened it before besides at the computer shop i took it too where it was cleaned ect ect
A computer that shuts down on it's own is caused by overheating and/or a failing Power Supply Unit. You are going to have to do the detective work, open the side of the case and put your ear next to it to find out where the clicking is coming from.

Open the side of the computer, while it is off. Then start the computer while the side is off. See if any wires are crossing fans. Make sure the computer is dust free, etc. Try to download something and put your ear next to the open computer to discern which part is clicking.

The only pip/poppy sounds should be coming from the HDD as access is accessing it, and the blinking red light is Hard Drive activity light, showing you something is going on in the HDD.
The PSU should just have the steady whirring sound of the fans.
Shut down the computer and blow out the fans with a can of compressed air.

Ill do it but the psu is brand ne and eve when off theres nothign on the fan blades (dust) and the psu is on the bottem back of the pc and the hdd is middle front ish so i wouldent confuse the sounds , its like if you were to give somone a static shock and you hear the shock like pulling clothes out of dryer you hear that poping noise of the static its what it sounds like but faint and inside the psu. and ah i thought that red light would have been bad XD but i should get that front fan fixed :/

So what about the front fan that isnt on can that affect anything aswell? a friend of mine who know not as much as you guys but he thinks the Hd is overheating atm its at 93 degres farenheit dk when its downloading just thought id add that. (and how much is it to install another fan on the computer round about jw because i know its had overheating issues in the past but havnt seen them latly i think its the psu because the computer worked before they installed it and now its glitchy and i hear those sparky noises in it so ill give them a call tommorow about it.)
