I've just bought a Compaq Presario v6000 with vista - the Wifi connection to my DLINK router if giving me intermittent problems.

The link to the router seems to remain up but i lose my connectivity to the internet. This can happen if I leave the unit idle for a few mins or I hibernate/sleep the unit. The only way I'm able to the re-connect is to shut down and restart the Laptop.

Has anyone seen this before?

See other posts in this forum - seems there is a known hardware problem with the laptops and wireless networks. I am having the same issues with mine. Only mine is out of warranty and dont really want to send it away for repairs.

Compaq Wifi always has problems !!
