Hello fellow techies! ;)

I tried to add an ditional 256mb of memory to my laptop (n600c), but when I did - the coputer would not boot (the BIOS screen didn't even come up). As soon as I took the memory out however, it worked!
Any ideas?
It is a single DIMM, PC133 (like the chip that is currently in it). Has my chip gone bad (I used it in another laptop for awhile)? Is there a BIOS setting I need to change? (Perhaps the QuickBoot setting?).

Any ideas would be GREAT!

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the board,

Did you verify that the laptop could support the extra memory?

Also what is the exact model?

and finally how much memory do you currently have in it?

Have you tried just the newer memory stick by itself? Also, try the original stick in the second memory slot. Maybe that slot is bad.

Also, welcome to the forums!
