Hi guys. I really hope you'll be able to help me. My Compaq CQ60 refuses to boot, doesn't detect the HDD, doesn't show anything on the screen, doesn't want to enter the BIOS or boot from a startup CD. Tried new ram and fifferent hard drive, Any suggestions? Thank you

When you say refuses to boot does the hardware give you a response as in does the HDD spin?

Not getting much response from the machine, the power light comes on and the harddrive spins but not as much as it should - I did remove the harddrive and plugged into another machine via USB and works fine, I also swapped the hdd in the machine to no avail.
