I have recently installed Cold Turkey since it helps me focus better without being continuously distracted by several websites. But my problem is that Cold Turkey keeps running, even when the timer set is over. I use Windows10 and the only possible methods to remove and block Cold Turkey didn't work for me. I'm kind of desperate and seeking for help.

Do you happen to use Chrome? Instead there are some better extensions that do the same thing and do work.

Well thanks, but do you happen to have any idea how i can stop the Cold Turkey block? It has blocked several websites i can't access now, even though the time that was set has already passed.

Have you uninstalled it?

I can't uninstall it since it's still running

Boot into Safe Mode and uninstall it that way. Or force it closed through Task Manager.

I tried through Task Manager, but didn't work.

I tried it and it didn't work either

Then use Safe Mode and uninstall it.

I have tried that, and that doesn't work either
I also tried uninstalling the app via Revo Uninstaller but it tells me that running the application's uninstaller failed. I did 'delete' Cold Turkey but it does show up in Revo Uninstaller... Are their any other possibilities?

You may need to go into your Hosts file and remove the entries added by Cold Turkey:

I just opened and edited the Host file and deleted all Cold Turkey entries, and it worked. Thanks a lot!

I have tried everything above (and many other things) but nothing works.
One method suggested going in to Program Files > Cold Turkey (via command line) and editing a .ini file - but my Cold Turkey files are in Program Files (x86) and there is no .ini file, just .exe's and .dat - have spent 4 hours trying to find a solution. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, You can't using Safe Mode, I've tried this and every other method listed here.

Hmm i have absolutely no idea what else to try.. Have you tried just deleting the folder when booting into safe mode?

You might not be saving the changes properly.

There's a manual way to do it, or an automatic fix to download. (same procedure for both Windows 8 and 10)
