Code 28 means that the driver is not installed. Did you try downloading the appropriate display driver from toshiba and installing it? What model satellite do you have?

I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite pro. I'm user of XP. IO tried to install DirectX, and some other related programs but something failed. Checking the computer I found in the device administrator a code 28 error in the video driver (VGA compatible) I tried to update the driver but it didn't worked
Does someone had the same problem? Thanks

I have a Satellite Pro 6000. I visited toshiba web site but I couldnt find a driver.
My guess is that this must be a edit_reg problem, but I dont know much about windows registers. Once I had a trouble with my CD ROM (code 31) and I solved it throw edit_reg. Is it possible that I can solve this with doing something in the regs???

This appears to be the display driver for your laptop. Just download it and run it to install the display driver. Normally code 28 on a video display means the display driver isn't installed.
