When I close one open internet explorer window all of my internet windows close. It is rather annoying and I can't figure out why it is doing that.

Do you mean you hit the 'x" at the top of your monitor's screen and all TABS close, or all open internet explorer's windows?

Yes. All of the internet explorer windows close. Not just the tabs.
