Windows clipboard works exactly the same as the copy/paste function. You can only copy one* item at a time to the clipboard, each new copied item removes the previous.If you want to keep the stuff you copy you can paste it into notepad[or whatever you use] and save it. If you haven't copied anything else since the one you are looking for you could right click and paste to notepad and read/save it there but if you have shut down the computer without saving it then its lost.
