Clicking Fujitsu Hard Drive - Where to find replacement boards?

1404 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  raptor_pa
I have a 5 year old Fujitsu 2.5" SATA drive here that I pulled out my fiance's dead laptop. she's driving me nuts over our wedding folder and a jobs folder, some of which I guess that the data is irreplaceable... sounds ridiculous for someone like me that can manage to find all of that, I know. Whatever. Got her pics off, and then right after it started clicking.

I'm thinking it could be the board, but I'm having trouble finding it.

It's a Fujitsu 2.5" SATA drive, Model #: MHW2120BH, Part No. CA06820-840700C1

Any help would be appreciated.

The board on a drive does not cause clicking except in a few WD models. Clicking in a Fujitsu is almost always a head issue which would require pro recovery in a clean room. You must also match more than teh model number for a compatible PCB if it is a PCB issue. Fujitsu PCB failures generally result in the drive not spinning up. If the drive doesn't spin, then the head lock is not disengaged and it couldn't click.
