im using XP SP3 and connecting through a linux box that host the VPN.
i can connect to the VPN get to all the login pages and RDP's i need, but when i try to login to the webpages they just stop loading, it just sits idoling.:pcmad:

if i connect directly to the VPN then i can't get to any of my network Drives and programs:banghead:

i noticed that the login page is https and after i click ok it goes to http. when its idoling if you click on the address and add the S then it will load. but i can't do that on all the pages i need. some of the windows are popups that i need. no one esle is having this problem and they have same setup as my accounts.

Welcome to TSF!

Sounds like your client vpn software is not configured for split tunnel or your server connection is not set for split tunnel.

Split tunnel is where you have the secure vpn tunnel but have other network access. Usually you don't do split tunnel since you can become an infection/hacker vector to the vpn and what is connected on the other side.

You might mention this to the techsupport and see if the jogs their memory.

it's set up like that. but it is hosted on a Linux PC so that we don't have to connect and disconnect all the time to get to all of our resources.

there are 5 other people that have the same set up as me and they are fine. no problem connecting to any of the sites. if i connect directlly from my PC it's fine but when i got through the Linux host is when i have this problem. could it be a port thing?

I would suggest someone compare your Linux box configuration with a working members configuration.

Surprised the tech guys haven't thought of that.

Since its web pages not loading I would suspect port 80 [http] is being redirected/blocked.

Do you have any configuration access to the linux box? Or are you at the mercy of technical support?
