Hi there,
First time poster so please forgive me if this is in the wrong section.
Last night while watching movies my PC got a BSOD (CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED). I rebooted the PC and decided to take a shot at updating my drivers to resolve the issue. I updated all of my drivers using DriverEasy, however the PCIe driver did seem to crash the PC with a BSOD every time it got to that driver. As a result I have no updated that driver.
Since updating these drivers I have been getting incredibly choppy and slowed down audio. I downloaded a DPC latency checker under the advice of another site which is showing huge spikes (as high as 16k at times). I have gone through quite a few of the drivers to disable them and see if this helps but nothing has worked (I also tried this with disabling and re-enabling PCIe). It may also be worth noting that I use my PC primarily for music production and am using a Behringer UMC202HD Interface. I am currently not using the most up to date driver as this seems to make the issue worse.
You'll have to forgive my ignorance on the matter as I am by no means tech-savvy. I really don't know what to do to fix this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I'm not even sure what diagnostic tools to use or how to even identify where the issues is.
Update: It seems that moving my mouse cursor rapidly around the sceen temporarily stops the audio from sounding quite so choppy. Not if this has any relevance. I have added a video link below (hope this is allowed) so that you guys can hear the issue and see my DPC spikes.
Many thanks in advance,
DCJ
