Before we give answers on disabling Chkdsk let's see if we can get it to run.
See if you can run Chkdsk in Safe Mode.
1. Start the computer and at the POST screen press F8(you have to hit this as soon as you see the POST screen).
2. On the Windows Advanced Options Menu, select Safe Mode and press Enter.
3. When the Boot Menu appears again, select Windows XP, and press Enter.
4. Log in Windows by using the Admins. account and password (the password
maybe blank if you didn't set one, just press Enter).
5. Then see if you can run Chkdsk.
