Chipset Fan Failure! Help Needed...

1526 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  linderman
System is fairly new, as I built it back in June. I’m running an ASUS K8N4-E DELUXE Socket 754 NVIDIA nForce4 4X ATX AMD Motherboard. Has performed fine until the past week. Now practically every time I boot up, I get a chipset fan failure warning which is correct as the fan is dead stopped. I have checked connections and air dusted as much dust out as possible. Any thoughts on what’s going on? I have a lot hooked up to my 450w PS, so could there just be a power shortage? Help needed….

Welcome to TSF:

I think if it were a weak PSU causing your dilemma you would see more problems???

I would simply scan on ebay for a replacement fan / i think they are 40 mm ????

or you could llok at some of the real quality after market models built my thermaltake or thermalright or maybe zalman
