Now I have just bought a Netgear DG384 v3 from a friend who was using it on AOL. Ive reset the router and Im thinking can I just put the same settings from the voyager into the Netgear, but this didn't work.
Any sugestions appreciated.

Can you ping the gateway (router)

ping 192.168.1.1
from your PC.

If you get 4 packets returned, can you ping outside the LAN?

ping www.google.com

If pinging google returns an error or host unreachable then you are looking at a DNS error. Who is your ISP?
Your DNS servers are set to 62.24.199.13 and 62.24.199.23. Either these are not your dns servers or your service provider has major problems.

What I suggest is to flash the firmware of the netgear which should wipe any previous info, more so if it has any AOL software\settings on it, then just plug it in and connect, but how will you be connecting to it ? if via cable you should be fine, if via wireless you will need to pair the device.
But it should find it's own settings, worst case run the wizard from netgear and it will take you through your settings where you can input your required details it needs, you should be good to go then, just remember to secure your network, .
