I have an hp media center M470n 3.0ghz/1gb Ram/256mb nvidia 6800gt.

I have noticed that the apperture setting is set at 64mb. Is this recommended? I have been in the Bios and I don't think my Bios will allow me to change it, unless you know a way........I have heard many different opinions on apperture size,,,,,,,,

hmmmm.........ive read somewhere before that your apeture setting should be half the physical videocard memory. so if our videocard is equip with 256megs, its good to set your aperture to 128megs.

hopefully someone more knowledagle about this issue would help you out more.

I always refer to The Definitive BIOS Optimization Guide at Adrian's Rojak Pot for BIOS questions. He recommends 64 or 128, you may have to try a few video tests to see which is better, but you may see no difference at all.

yeah, i have quite a few optimizations guides, tweak guides etc....my problem is, i have three pc's, all of which have a crap-*** bios that do not allow changes to the apperture size, I have heard you can change something around on the mobo to unlock some of the hidden features that HP and family decide to keep from the paying customer, but i know just enough about pc's to be dangerous............

If you can't change it, then try not to worry about it. 64MB sounds like the best setting for your system
