I built my system a year ago and have had an annoying, but intermittent problem ever since. about 50% of the time, the PC beeps on start-up and freezes (1 long beep, then 2 short beeps).
Someone told me the beeps indicate a video card problem.
I have downloaded and upgraded the bios from Chaintech's web site, but continue to have the problem. I have also been all around the inside of the pc and bios set-up to double check settings and connections.
Any suggestions?

Chaintech 7AJA2E motherboard
AMD Athlon XP 1.2 ghz processor
512 MB PC-133 memory
Aopen GEFORCE 4 MX-420 Video Card
Hercules MuseXL Audio Card
