I want to print my book on a cd and protect it from being copied. I was told I could using a pdf file. If so how do I do that.
Book is on a word document.

Hi, welcome to TSF

Unfortunately, in the digital age it's impossible to make your book copy-proof, even by converting your Word doc to a PDF file.

The entire CD can be copied and reproduced multiple times. The PDF can be saved and edited by anyone with a decent PDF editor. The text can be highlighted and copied from the PDF, then pasted into a word processor and resaved. Many other methods for copying.

so true, even the experts cannot protect their movies, music and such. However, if you have the time and depending how it is being distributed, you can always put some sort of unique code within each copy to keep track track of those copies. This way if you find your document online, you will know who passed it along.
