hello all this is my first time here so be kind 
i have just began to have this problem with my laptop (only 3 months old) CD/DVD rom drive, its doesn't seem to pick up the music or data CDs that i place in but it does read DVDs although it did use to come up with the autoplay which it now doesn't.
i noticed there was a problem when i tried to burn an ISO disc image using RecordNow! it take ages to burn the disc so after a hour i restarted my machine and thought there was a problem with the software i have checked this and i have tried loading a CD before windows boots to make sure it wasn't windows.
any ideas would help a lot! thanks it advance!
