Hi all.

Ive been having some trouble when I try to run a HD-DVD I get a message that there is a problem with HDCP. Also Ive ran cyberlink HD/BD advisor program and flags a problem with HDCP. Ive checked alot of forum's and support pages but cant get a clear answer or find a problem like mine. Anyone here that can help with this or have the same monitor with similar problems that can help would be great.

Im using Dell 2407WFP monitor, LG HD-DVD/Blu-Ray drive, XFX Geforce 7900 GTX extreme and using Cyberlink power DVD which came with the DVD drive (Pentium D 3.5ghz. 2gb ram)

High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) is a form of digital copy protection developed by Intel Corporation to prevent copying of digital audio and video content as it travels across DisplayPort, Digital Visual Interface (DVI), High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), Gigabit Video Interface (GVIF), or Unified Display Interface (UDI) connections. The specification is proprietary, and implementing HDCP requires a license
thanks for the reply

I know what HDCP is. The problem is when i try to play a DVD it will say my display doesnt have it when it does(Has HDCP through the DVI connection). Just cant find out why yet

A few more things I can try that will hopefully work

Thanks

I found a thread that explains alot. It would seem getting monitors using DVI to display HD is something that is still Not implemented like it should be.
which is a shame.

Hi,
Check if your DVD player is HDCP compliant.
I have found a solution. turns out while my graphics card,my dvd drive manual and the website I purchased the card from claim the 7900gtx is hdcp compliant its not. I upgraded to 9800gtx and everything works fine which is great.

Thanks for all the reply's and help.
