Hi,

I've got a P6IWP-Fe board, that claims to be able to handle upto 512MB RAM, it currently has one 64MB stick in, leaving two slots free.

I recently bought a 128MB stick and put it in, but I only get 128MB total!

If I put the 128MB in on it's own I get 64MB!

Any suggestions??

I'd guess that the 128mb module you have was recently purchased. Older motherboards had more chip select lines and less address lines supported, tied to the currently available RAM modules. With the higher density modules, the RAM makers are putting on fewer high capacity chips which require less chip select lines but more address lines. Some motherboards don't support the new modules, even though the capacity is "supported".
