Ok, so here's the situation, I have a video I want to put on you tube, and it won;t upload. In the past it's always worked. But now when I try to do it. I select the video, click the upload button. Then I wait, and I wait, and I wait, and I wait, and finally about an hour later, the page changes, I think I'm going to get the message saying the video has been uploaded, but instead I get this stupid 500 server internal error crap. I've tried uploading with every browser I have and I still get the same thing. The video is not over the 100 mb limit, or longer than 10 minutes. So what's going on? Does it mean there is there something wrong with my computer or something wrong with You tube? If it's my computer, how can I fix it?

That's an error at their end, nothing wrong with your computer. Basically it means "there's a problem but we're not sure what it is". It's usually fixed quickly, so users don't see them very often.

Hi,

I wanted to bump this thread because I am also getting an error while trying to upload a video to youtube. It tries to load for about 10 minutes then changes to a page that displays this:

As Craig is on his way to stardom, Alex fears she's going to get left behind. But Craig is determined to prove her wrong.

Anyone know what might be wrong? I'm using Firefox, my video is about 70mb, 3:30 minutes long, amd mp4.

I also just signed up for the trial version of BitDefender (from previously having Norton) so maybe this might have something to do with it? I don't know...

Thanks in advance,
Depth

I don't know what it all means, but it looks as if the video has been sent to Youtube, i think the problem is at their end. Try again in a few days, my upload problem seemed to fix itself, and I can upload again. I was told it's most likely Youtube's problem. They were doing maintenance of the site a couple of days ago, that could be the problem, it may not have been sorted yet. I don't think BitDefender is the problem, it could be, but if it is, I think you wouldn't be able to post anything at all.
